Global Dimension aims to support school teachers in bringing a global dimension (or exploring the world’s interconnections) to their teaching by providing access to teaching resources, case studies and background information.
National Assembly for Whales - Global Citizenship
National Assembly for Whales provides downloaded version of Global Citizenship Secondary School Map - Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship, a very useful document, with helpful subject-specific ideas. Although related to the UK context, it is applicable more widely.

Global SchoolNet aims to support 21st century learning and improve academic performance through content-driven collaboration. There is a focus on linking teachers and students in exchanges and collaboration.
Global Engage
Global Engage supports members of the IB community, and particularly teachers, in engaging with our global world. Global Engage provides information, resources, ideas and opinions, links, and suggestions for action concerned with global issues - and reports of actions taken by the IB community.
International Global Citizen's Award
While International Global Citizen’s Award is a site to nominate individuals for global citizenship, it also provides numerous useful links and information pertaining to global citizenship.
Outreach World
Outreach World ‘s goal is to populate Outreach World with educational materials relevant to all global regions, grade levels, themes and disciplines; recommended resources; a calendar of events and professional development opportunities; links to organizations and agencies; examples of best practices; and user feedback.
The Coffee Chain Game
Coffee companies make huge profits, while the farmers who grow the coffee make barely enough to live on. These resources show the contrast between farmers who sell their coffee on the open market, and those able to sell their coffee to Fair Trade buyers. There are powerful interviews with coffee growers in Uganda, and a quiz about the coffee trade. Ideal for teaching in a variety of courses.
Climate Chaos
Climate Chaos provides materials which give an overview of the causes and consequences of climate change, and help teachers to explore its impact on everyone, especially people in the developing world. The activities also help pupils to understand their own contribution to climate change, and that of their school. Includes ideas for active citizenship projects designed to reduce your school and personal use of fossil fuels.
Milking It
Milking It is an interactive resource helps you to explore international trade issues through farmers’ real life experiences. Using the lives of two farmers from Wales and Jamaica, you can teach about the unfair impact these rules have, and how these rules are decided. Ideal for teaching in a variety of courses.
Teaching Controversial Issues
Education for Global Citizenship gives children and young people the opportunity to develop critical thinking about complex global issues in the safe space of the classroom. Far from promoting one set of answers, Education for Global Citizenship encourages children and young people to explore, develop and express their own values and opinions, whilst listening to, and respecting, other people’s points of view.

Asia Society features articles and videos on current, relevant global events. It is an endless resource for educational materials on global competence, building partnerships, and free tools and assessments to utilize in the classroom.
